The amount of rain your Fiskars Rain Barrel System will collect depends on two things: The amount of rain that comes down on your roof, and how much roof area drains into the gutter and downspout where you've installed the diverter. As an example, if you have a 500-square-foot roof section feeding a downspout, it will take about two tenths of an inch of rain to fill a 52-gallon barrel.
